Stewards in New South Wales will hold
an inquiry into the non appearance of jockey Justin Sheehan to fulfil a ride in Sydney
yesterday. Booked for his first ride since a
suspension for careless riding, Sheehan's wife rang Stewards to advise he had collapsed
after taking a morning walk.
Sheehan expressed major disappointment when Stewards
wouldn't wipe one day from his suspension in order the ride the AJC Derby winner Universal
Prince in last Saturday's Chipping Norton Stakes.
Danny Beasley was engaged by trainer Bede Murray and the
horse finished third behind Tie the Knot and Freemason.
