Former smart Perth youngster Classic Cut has joined the David Hill
stable in Hong Kong and has been renamed in that country. The son of Sky Classic will be known in his new homeland as Seasons
Treasure. He has been given a local rating of 90.
A winner of his first three starts in Perth, the colt was
third in the Group Two Karrakatta Plate. At three runs in Melbourne during the Spring
Carnival he managed to finish fourth in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude at huge odds.
Classic Cut was formerly trained by leading Perth based
trainer David Edwards.
The three-year-old hasn't raced since finishing fifth (of
six) in the AAMI Vase behind Ustinov at Moonee Valley on September 27.
Meanwhile, the former Lee Freedman trained Cafe Strip is set
to be renamed after joining the stables of former Sydney trainer John Size.
A three-year-old colt by the ill-fated Snippets, Cafe Strip
was a stakes placegetter in Melbourne at his first run.
He is a last start Werribee winner on October 13. He has been
given a rating of 72.
