Corey Brown took riding honours at Canterbury today with a winning
treble and he's set up an intriguing finish to the Sydney riding premiership. Brown, who leaves for a holiday to Fiji before the weekend, is now
two and half wins ahead of main rival Darren Beadman with two city meetings left in the
season.
Luckily for Beadman he also managed to ride a winner, but
he is now left with the job of riding atleast three winners at the final two meetings on
Saturday and next Wednesday to claim the title.
Brown, who scored on Leg Irons, Queen's Suite and Blazing
Arch, will miss the final two meetings after suffering a suspension last weekend.
The ladder leader who only able to ride at today's meeting
after launching a controversial appeal, which was withdrawn in the final hours drawing
criticism from officials.
Brown left the track at Canterbury today wishing Beadman
the best in his quest to reclaim the top of the table.
Beadman held a substantial double figure lead in the title
race just a couple of weeks ago before he was suspended.
