Victorian
jockey Shane Tronerud is hoping clear his name after being outed for eight Macau meetings
for "failing to ride to the satisfaction of stewards." Tronerud's ride in the fourth race on Sunday came under scrutiny and
stewards slapped a ban on the hoop which would have seen him out of the saddle until well
into August.
But the Macau Jockey Club has confirmed that Tronerud has
lodged an appeal against both the charge and that the "penalty imposed is
excessive."
Tronerud will continue riding in Macau on a stay of
proceedings before stewards choose a date for the appeal. |
