Leading
Adelaide jockey Wayne Kerford is hoping to return to the saddle sometime next month after
being seriously assaulted on the weekend. Kerford was
hospitalised after being assaulted at Camden in Adelaide on Sunday evening. During the
incident the talented rider suffered a fractured jaw and extensive bruising.
Three plates were inserted in Kerford's jaw area when he
underwent surgery earlier this week.
The rider who often teams up with John Hawkes' Adelaide
stable is hoping to back riding in early to mid August. |
