Lady riders
had a big day out at South Australia's country meeting at Quorn last Saturday winning all
five races. Stacey Lovegrove, Maree Henderson, Trish
Rayner and Jayeleen Burgess all had winners on the afternoon.
Lovegrove got into the groove early by winning the first
two events thanks to Miss Chelsea and Tenor Bill.
Her effort was soon match by Trish Rayner, the youngster
sister or Raygan, who booted home the long time maiden Classic Danzig to win for Murray
Shackleford.
Maree Henderson, who is based at Angaston with her riding
husband Murray, then followed the female trend by winning the feature race, the Quorn Cup.
She booted home the Barry Hatch trained Tiki Prince to win the big race.
To end the big day for the girls the Ceduna based Jayeleen
Burgess popped in to score aboard the favourite We Dare.
The male contingent of Andrew Stead, Kypros Louca, Murray
Henderson, Brendan Neville and Robbie Faehr all went home with the tail between their
legs! |
