Victoria's
gallop meeting at Cranbourne on Sunday will be part of an Australia first when three codes
race in the same complex on the one day. Races will
be run every fifteen minutes when nine gallops, eight harness and eight greyhound events
are run at the Cranbourne Racing Centre.
The first gallop race will be the Araluen Super Vobis
Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate and it will be contested at 11.15am.
Eight other galloping events with large field will be run
afterwards, with the final thoroughbred event scheduled to jump at 4.30pm.
In a major demand for the meeting by trainers and
connections the last race could have been divided with officials having to make three
runners emergencies and then balloting another 17 runners.
Six of the other eight races all had a large amount of
runners balloted from the fields. |
