One of South
Australia's leading riders has quit riding because of increasing weight problems. Jarrod Lorensini, who's ridden 38 winners this season, has made the
decision after his weight ballooned during a recent break.
Lorensini, who teamed up one many occasions to win races
with Ken Sweeney, has not ridden for nearly four weeks and his weight has soared to well
over 60 kilograms.
The relatively young hoop has picked up a job with the
Australian Paper Company in Adelaide.
Lorensini's final feature race win came thanks to
Astrolante in the Port Adelaide Cup (Group Three) at Cheltenham late last year. |
