Controversial
bookmakers Rob and Bill Waterhouse will front NSW TRB stewards tomorrow as an inquiry into
"betting discrepencies" continues. TRB
chief steward Ray Murrihy quizzed both Waterhouses after it was revealed Rob had handed
one of his telephone bets to his father later on May 5. Waterhouse senior is not licenced
to take telephone bets.
This inquiry is not related to the ongoing appeal by Rob
Waterhouse against a two year ban and a swag of fines handed out after the "McCoy
betting scandal" recently. That appeal is continuing.
The phone bet hearing will take place tomorrow an hour
before the first race in Sydney at Rosehill Gardens. |
