trainer John Size looks certain to win the Hong Kong Training Premiership with the final
meeting of the season to be held on Sunday. Size is
currently two wins ahead of Ivan Allan in the premiership and the Aussie will saddle up
ten runners as compared to Allan's five. Size will be represented in eight of the ten
events, with Allan only having runners in four.
Despite having fewer runners than most of his rivals Size
has trained 57 winners from 281 starters. Allan has 55 wins from 467 runners.
Size will be represented by Power Long Legs (Shane Dye) in
the first, Bountiful (Dye) in the second, Prime Vain (Dye) in the third, Lucky Trio (Dye)
in the fifth, Namjong Spirit (Dye) in the seventh, Billion Delight (Dye) in the eighth,
Century Star (Dye), Danriva (Dunn) and Koh-I-Noor (Fayd-herb) in the ninth and Grand
        Delight (Dye) in the last.
Allan meanwhile is resting his hopes on Fantastico
(Marwing) in the second, Majestic Warrior (Cheng) in the third, Huangdi (Yim) in the ninth
and Golconda (Marwing) and Golden Years (Yim) in the last. |
