Leading Victorian apprentice rider Jade Darose was yesterday
suspended from riding for the first time in her career after an adjourned inquiry was
concluded at Moonee Valley. The hearing was brought
over from Flemington's meeting on Monday when stewards charged Darose with careless
riding.
Darose sought the conclusion of the hearing to be held over
to Moonee Valley so that her boss Doug Harrison could attend.
The suspension will begin on Sunday and conclude on Monday
July 1.
Stewards noted that they took into account that Darose had
not been suspended in her four and a half year riding career to date.
