The Robbie
Waterhouse appeal which kicked off yesterday will continue for what is tipped to be
another lengthy hearing today. Representatives
for both Waterhouse and the New South Wales Thoroughbred Racing Board (NSW TRB) were
present at yesterday's session which ran from 9.30am until about 6.40pm last night.
Appearing for Waterhouse during yesterday's hearing were
David Sackar, Paul Brereton and Clive Jeffries, while both Steven Rushton and Mark Watson
represented the TRB.
Waterhouse is appealing a two year disqualification and heavy
fines after an inquiry into the formerly warned off bookmaker placing 500/1 bets on highly
fancied runners to Peter McCoy.
It is expected no decision will be handed down until at least
tomorrow. |
