Leading Melbourne apprentice jockey Rhys McLeod will make a long awaited
return to the saddle in Melbourne tomorrow after a horror period of suspension and injury. McLeod was outed by stewards for two months after a terrible mishap in a
distance race at Moonee Valley on January 24.
While riding the 25/1 outsider Mystic Outlaw, McLeod
misjudged the distance of the 3000 metre race and went a lap early.
Things didn't get any better for the talented you hoop when
he was preparing for his return to the saddle around Easter time. McLeod injured a
shoulder in a motorcycle accident.
McLeod has two rides in his racetrack return tomorrow. He
will partner Perricia for Ryan Hooper in the second race before hopping aboard the Wayne
Nichols trained Rhythm and Light in the final Flemington event.
