| Promising
        apprentice rider Nozi Tomizawa will be making his South Australian riding debut with three
        rides on St Leger Day at Victoria Park tomorrow. Tomizawa, who has ridden with a great deal of success in Queensland and New
        South Wales, is the new apprentice rider for veteran Cheltenham based trainer Len Smith. 
        Smith, who's daughter Marilyn also holds a training licence
        in Adelaide, is best known as the trainer of former Cups war horse Skybeau and the VRC
        Oaks winner My Brightia. 
        Tomizawa will also be riding at Sunday's provinicial SA
        meeting at Strathalbyn. 
        Meanwhile, in other Adelaide riding news Strathalbyn based
        apprentice Matthew Neilson has been rewarded for his good country and provincial riding by
        being granted a city licence by Stewards. 
        Neilson, who's apprenticed to Dwayne Dunn's father Barry,
        will be free to ride in the city from Saturday week.  |
