Shane Dye's dream of winning the Hong Kong riding premiership is set to take a
further setback on Wednesday with his major opponent set to extend his table lead.
At present Whyte leads the riding
premiership by five wins and he has a full book of seven rides at Wednesday's meeting at
Happy Valley.
After Saturday evening's meeting in Hong
Kong Whyte had established a five win margin in the premiership. He has 62 wins as
compared to Dye's 57. Weichong Marwing in third with 54.
Dye is currently out of the saddle in Hong
Kong after recently incurring a suspension.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Dunn continues to hold
his place in the top five on the list in his first full season. Dunn's 30 wins has him
three clear of the current sixth placed rider Eric Legrix, who was a winner on Saturday
night.
Dunn has no chance of further climbing the
list as the fourth placed rider, Felix Coetzee, is some 20 ahead. |
