Leading Melbourne jockey Brett Prebble will replace Damien Oliver on the South
Australian Oaks favourite Tully Thunder on Saturday.
Oliver was aboard the Ross McDonald trained
filly when she scored a last start win in the Group One Australasian Oaks at Victoria
Park, but he will miss Saturday's meeting as he partners Falvelon in Brisbane.
McDonald was quick to snap up the services
of Prebble for his daughter of Thunder Gulch, who has been installed the favourite for
Saturday's 2500 metre race.
Prebble will be hoping that Thunder Gulch
can follow in the footsteps of Episode, the David Hall trained filly who won both Group
One Oaks races in 1999. |
