| The interstate
plans of leading Melbourne jockey Darren Gauci have been dealt a blow when he was charged
with careless riding at Sandown yesterday. Gauci, who
will be riding on the opening day of the smoke-free Adelaide Cup Carnival at Morphettville
on Saturday, has been called to front an inquiry next week.
Stewards adjourned the inquiry as they wished to interview
Damien Oliver who was not on course when the charge was laid.
The inquiry will be held on Monday. |
