Melbourne
trainer John Meagher has continued his good recent run of success in Singapore with
another four winners over the weekend. Meagher
saddled up three winners on Saturday before another winner the following day.
Highland Gem kicked away the weekend in great style when
that galloper, who's by the ill-fated Australian stallion Snippets, won the first event on
Saturday.
Three races later the Swamp King galloper Pan Express
doubled the winners tally for Meagher.
Then the final race of the day was captured by the former
Australian galloper Steal a Scene. Still owned by Emma Boling, the gelding romped home by
nearly three lengths in the final race, a $75,000 Open Benchmark over 1400 metres.
To prove his three winners the day before were no fluke
Meagher saddled up Golden Express, a gelding by Danzero, to win the fifth race in
Singapore yesterday. |
