Over the Moon, who would have to be one of
Australia's best bred gallopers, broke through for his second career win at Geelong today. A five-year-old gelding Over the Moon is by the champion American
sire Storm Cat and out of the former Horse of the Year and Champion Australian mare Let's
Elope.
Bred and owned by Dennis Marks, Over the Moon, was having
his eleventh start with his first up triumph in the Carlton Draught Class 4 Handicap over
1400 metres.
The Darren Gauci mount had not started since finishing a
distant twelfth at Werribee last July.
The Bart Cummings trained gelding had a three quarter
length break over the Doug Harrison gelding West View, while Moxiebuston was a further
length and a quarter away in third place.
