Nash Rawiller, who was just over a week ago handed
a two month suspension for deliberately striking a horse over the head with a whip, was
outed again at Moonee Valley this afternoon. Stewards
handed the hoop a two and a half week ban for careless riding after his ride aboard the
Russell Cameron trained Bomber Bill in the Group One 3AW Australia Stakes (1200m).
It was noted that Rawiller allowed his mount to shift out
when insufficiently clear of Desert Sky in his attempt to move to the outside of Sports
approaching the home turn. Desert Sky was checked in the incident.
Rawiller is currently riding on a stay of proceedings after
appealing his recent two month ban handed out last Friday week by Racing Victoria
Stewards.
