Classy middle
distance performer Umrum will return to where it all began when he lines up in Adelaide on
Saturday. Morphettville based trainer Leon Macdonald
is keen for the chestnut gelding to regain confidence after a few disappointing runs in
Melbourne recently.
Despite being handicapped with 62.5 kilograms the gelding
is likely to run in the $24,000 Schweppes Handicap over 1450 metres.
Three kilogram claiming apprentice Michael Hoppo has been
booked for the ride on the son of Umatilla.
Meanwhile, Macdonald has announced his classy filly Regal
Kiss would probably be having her next run in Sydney after being a beaten favourite in
listed class at Flemington on Saturday.
The $300,000 Sapphire Stakes in Sydney on Easter Saturday
has been picked out as the next start for the Group winning daughter of Royal Academy.
Depending on the filly's progress for the rest of the week
she is a chance of lining up in Saturday's $270,000 Group One Australia Stakes at Moonee
Valley where she would clash with proven performers like Falvelon, Toledo, Show a Heart,
Black Bean, Sports, Bomber Bill, Desert Sky as well as North Boy, Taimana and Point
Danger. |
