Leading Queensland jockey
Michael Cahill has had a triumphant start to his riding contract in Hong Kong. Cahill was a winner at his very first ride in his current home in
the first race on Saturday.
Able Choice scored a comprehensive two and three quarter
length win over Flash Harry in the Exploring Southwest China Plate over 1200 metres giving
Cahill the perfect start to his three month contract.
There was no joy for any of the other Aussie jockeys at the
meeting with Dwayne Dunn and Shane Dye only managing a third each on the ten event card.
Meanwhile, former Group One placegetter Danamite, now a
member of the David Hayes stable in Hong Kong, showed he was close to a win when he ran
third at his second start in his new home. |
