Melbourne jockey Sam Hyland wasn't going to be
upstaged by his father, former top jockey come trainer Pat, who trained a winner at
Caulfield on Saturday.
The young hoop currently riding in Macau was
in great form on Tuesday night and he rode two winners on the programme.
His first winner came when Driving Force
proved too strong in the first division of the Salford Handicap over 1300 metres.
The double was completed with the very next
race when Jetworx took the first division of the Leeds Handicap over 1050 metres.
Hyland senior meanwhile kicked away the
successful few days for the weekend when Shirley's Luvena scored a strong win in Melbourne
on Saturday.
The winning trainer wasn't at Caulfield
though, instead he was on the Gold Coast with another of his sons Matthew, a trainer in
his own right. Father and son were both active buyers at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
