Morphettville trainer Leon Macdonald will
unveil two of his star youngsters for the first time in public when they trial in Adelaide
on Monday. Macdonald has nominated both Defiant
and Gucci Guru to contest different two-year-old trials over 688 metres at Cheltenham.
Gucci Guru, a half sister to Macdonald's former Australian
champion three-year-old Gold Guru and Australasian Oaks placegetter Glitzy Guru, will step
out in the second trial of the morning.
Defiant is the daughter of the former top racemare Ruffles.
On the track Ruffles, a daughter of Zeditave, won the Newmarket Handicap after a dashing
ride by Shane Dye.
