New South Wales Stewards have
adjourned an inquiry into the cause of a two horse fall at Randwick yesterday. Jockey Brent Stanley was taken to hospital after his mount Intrusa
fell shortly after turning for home in the Railway Square Handicap.
Grant Buckley was also dislodged after his ride in the race
Wild Meadows was brought down moments later after racing behind Intrusa.
Rockley Opera, which was also following behind those
gallopers, was severely checked in the incident.
Stewards adjourned the inquiry so that Stanley would be able
to be present for the hearing.
Meanwhile, jockey Justin Sheehan will come under the
spotlight when Stewards continue their adjourned inquiry into one of his rides from
yesterday.
Sheehan will be called to front Stewards next Monday at 2pm
into his riding of Expect a Star round the first turn and again at the 1200 metre mark in
the Little Day Handicap (2400m). |
