| A colt by the Golden
Slipper winner Flying Spur topped yesterday's Inglis Melbourne Wealing Sale at Oaklands. Offered by Tabasco Lodge, the colt was from the unplaced Sir
Tristram mare Trist a Girl and was knocked down for $57,500.
The colt was purchased by Darren Weir, the former Stawell
based trainer who won the recent Group One South Australian Oaks at Morphettville with
        She's Archie.
Trist a Girl, who is out of a French Group performer by
Lyphard, is a half sister to Group One winner Filago.
The colt is from the family of Arc winner Detroit, who's
now well known as the dam of the outstanding young sire prospect and Arc winner himself
        Carnegie.
Catalogued as lot number 113, the colt is by the same sire
as the top class stakes winners including Juanmo, San Luis, All Time High, Flying Babe,
Ponton Flyer, French Braids, Spurn, Make Me A Miracle, Oomph and Blur. |
