Collingrove Stud bred, raised and sold
three-year-old Stormcat Academy continued his rise through racing's grades when he scored
in yesterday's listed Pacesetter Stakes at Gosford. A
son of the shuttling stallion Royal Academy, Stormcat Academy is being regarded as one of
the more exciting gallopers racing in New South Wales at the present time.
Trained by Pat Farrell, the gelding created a big
impression when he scored a last start win in Sydney, but his following success yesterday
displayed he was set for more riches.
With Corey Brown in the saddle, Stormcat Academy proved too
strong on the line for last start Sydney stakes winner Ancient Song, while the winner's
stablemate Bulletproof Billy was a good third.
The exciting galloper, and winner of over $140,000, is from
the Zabaleta mare Cotton Bay.
Stormcat Academy, who was sold under the Collingrove Stud banner after being bred by the
Sangster family's Swettenham Stud, will now be aimed at the Ramornie Handicap at Grafton
next month. |
