Group Two winning galloper
and promising young broodmare Prefer an Angel was sold for $300,000 during today's
broodmare section of the Magic Millions Winter Carnival Sale on the Gold Coast. A daughter of the Group One galloper Mi Preferido, the New Zealand
bred Prefer an Angel was a highly talented galloper who won five races, her best success
coming in the Group Two Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Moonee Valley.
Prefer an Angel, a mare foaled in 1992, also placed in the
Group Three Hardy Brothers Prelude and the Group Three Arrowfield Tristarc Stakes. She was
also fourth in the Tesio Stakes at Group level.
The mare's only runner to date is this season's impressive
Flemington two-year-old winner Czar of Prussia, a galloper who won on debut before being
sold overseas.
In foal to the Golden Slipper winner Danzero, a son of the
mighty Danehill, the mare was offered as part of the dispersal of Rob Ferguson's Torryburn
Stud. She was knocked down to Reavill Farm's John Rippon for $300,000. |
