Blue Gum Farm's international siring sensation
Last Tycoon has done it again. One of his brilliant
overseas gallopers, Tytola, has dazzled in another Group win in South Africa.
Out of the Tolomeo mare Tolanda, Tytola scored a great win
in last weekend's Greyville 1900 (G2 - 1900m) at Greyville in Durban.
Last Tycoon's list of international stars is an impressive
one. The list includes names like Marju, Ezzoud, Princess Tracy, Super Sheila, Bigstone,
Taipan, Lady of Chad, Lost World, Poliuto, Double Reef, Monde Bleu, Tychonic, Zarannda,
Tycoon's Drama and the brilliant Japanese filly Arrow Carry.
As well those star gallopers overseas, Last Tycoon has been
represented by many topliners on the local scene. In Australasia his stakes winners have
included Mahogany, O'Reilly, Tycoon Lil, Lady Jakeo, Magic of Money, Le Zagaletta,
Bradshaw, Typhoon, Iglesia and Fubu.
The future for Last Tycoon also appears bright. His
promising present day performers include Lester Thunderwing, Obsession, Look for a Star,
Western Tycoon, Unrocel Saint, Damaschino and Monday's Randwick winner Grand Estime.
It's no surprise Last Tycoon is doing the job in the
breeding barn. The beautifully bred and striking looking stallion was also a star on the
track. During a short career he won eight of his 13 starts, seven of the wins coming in
stakes class.
A three time Group One winner in Europe and North America,
Last Tycoon is a full brother to the Group winner The Perfect Life and a half brother to
another Group winner, Astronef.
Last Tycoon will be standing alongside Encosta de Lago,
King Charlemagne, Rubiton and Umatilla at Blue Gum
Farm during the 2002 season. |
