Some 187 lots will go under
the hammer in Perth on June 16 when Magic Millions hold a Mixed Thoroughbred Sale at their
Belmont Park Sales Complex. The sale includes the
unreserved reduction sale of both Korilya Stud and Bulla Bulla Thoroughbred Stud.
Twenty three yearlings will begin entering the ring from
11am. They are by sires including Magic of Money, Scenic, Serheed, Pricelessly, Bletchley
Park and Island Morn.
The feature yearling lot on paper appears to be the bay or
brown filly by Bletchley Park. She is a half sister to the Sulvan Gold Vase winner in
Perak, Rumble Fish. On the colt side a bay or brown youngster by Serheed is sure to
attract the attention of the good judges. She is a half sister to the multiple stakes
winner Kim Uma and the stakes placed Load and Lockett.
Entering the ring next will be seven two-year-olds. They
are by Success Express, Canny Lad, Palace Reign, Czardas, Serheed, Magic of Money and
Supremo.
Sixteen racehorses will then be offered. Among the unraced
brigade are thoroughbreds by Zabaleta, Senor Pete, Supremo, Jeune, Bellotto, Corporate
Raider, Palace Reign and Serheed.
The highlight of the racehorse section is clearly the top
class Magic Ring filly Magic Heaven. She is a stakes winner of four races and she was
Group placed in a Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield in her first season. She is out of the
stakes placed Talk to Angels, a half sister to Potential.
Among the dispersal of Bulla Bulla Thoroughbred Stud are
yearlings by Euclase, Dauberval and Old Spice. There are also weanlings by Battle Hawk,
Dauberval, Euclase, Old Spice and Carry a Smile. Up for grabs in Bulla Bulla's broodmare
selection is the dam if G2 winner Sir Tinka in foal to Group One winner Akhenaton and the
stakes winner Fiery Fortress in foal to Dr Johnson.
Korilya Stud's dispersal is next up with 31 horses on
offer. Among the yearlings are youngsters by Surtee and Lomond Bay, while there are
weanlings by Lomond Bay, Zedrich, Chanteclair, Corporate Raider and Port Geographe.
In the general weanling section next stallions represented
include Citidancer, Magic of Money, Land Speed Record, Laranto, Ron Bon, Corporate Raider,
Surtee, Old Spice, Dr Johnson and Fimiston.
Stallions shares to Ron Bon (two), Carry a Smile and Palace
Reign will be offered along with nominations to Ron Bon, Carry a Smile, Corporate Raider,
Dauberval and Old Spice (two).
A good selection of broodmares will then go under the
hammer. Among them are an unraced Carry a Smile in foal to Scenic, a winning Is It True
mare positive to Bletchley Park, a half sister to the Derby winner Firing Range in foal to
Carry a Smile, the stakes winning full sister to Black Ivory (Peter Pan S G2) in foal to
Carry a Smile, the dam of Our Cutey in doal to Scenic and the daughter of the Oaks placed
Rebel Fire in foal to Speed Week.
The final offering of the auction is the proven son of
Voodoo Rhythm, Raveneaux. A winner of the Victoria Derby he is now best known as the sire
of WA Oaks winner Fabulous and fellow stakes winners Crazy Neaux and Prince of Pop and the
Group performer Classic Lady. He is the sire of well over 50 winners and close to $2
million in progeny earnings. |
