For the first time Magic
Millions will hold a four day yearling sale in Adelaide next February. Details of the four day selling period and a change in the format of
the sale and race have been virtually confirmed by Magic Millions.
The demand for places in the Adelaide Select Session has
forced Magic Millions to extend that part of the sale to three sessions, including a night
session.
The first day of the sale is pencilled in for Tuesday
February 18, which follows two official days of general inspections. Selling is tipped to
get underway at about 11am. This session is expected to run for about five hours.
Selling will then continue on Wednesday at 6pm following
the running of a raceday at Morphettville, which will include the running of the $400,000
Adelaide Magic Millions Classic for qualified two-year-olds. The sale following the racing
action is expected to run for about three hours.
The final day of the select session will be held on
Thursday kicking off at 11am. This is expected to be the biggest day of offerings - six
hours has been set aside by Magic Millions for selling.
As it has proven in the past the Adelaide Summer Select
Yearling Sale is popular with many local and travelling trainers and buyers. Held on
Friday this session is expected to kick off at about 11am also and is expected to run for
the entire afternoon. |
