The service fee for the proven American stallion Red Ransom
has been slashed by Vinery Australia for the 2002 season.
Since standing his first Australian season in 1999, the son
of Roberto has been standing at a fee of $66,000, but this season his price has been
slashed to $44,000.
Red Ransom's oldest Australian progeny are rising
two-year-olds and if they perform in the same way as his first crop did in North America
then prepare for a powerful start.
Entering stud in the United States in 1991, he made a
dynamic start to his stud career when he was crowned as the Champion Freshman Sire of the
USA in 1994.
Seven seasons down the track and he is the sire of 35
stakes winners and his prgeny have earned over $26 million. His best performers include
Group One winners Intikhab, Bail Out Becky, Trail City and Pico Teneriffe.
Red Ransom will be one of ten stallions standing at Vinery
Australia for the 2002 season. The others are Brahms, Gilded Time, Langfuhr, Loup Sauvage,
More Than Ready, Real Quiet, Sandpit, Twining and Way of Light. |
