stallion Distorted Humor has cracked his first winner in America. The filly Awesome Humor proved too classy when she won the first
race at Keeneland yesterday.
A member of the Ronny Werner stable, Awesome Humor led
throughout in the four and a half furlong juvenile event to win by a neck.
A son of Forty Niner, Distorted Humor was a multiple Group
Two and Three winner in the States, with feature wins at Keeneland, Churchill Downs and
Monmouth.
Distorted Humor stood stwo seasons in Australia and his
oldest progeny are continuing to go through the sales ring this season.
Five of his youngsters - three colts and two fillies - have
been catalogued for the William Inglis Autumn Yearling Sale in Melbourne on April 21 and
22.
A winner of eight of his 23 starts, Distorted Humor
currently stands in America at WinStar Farm in Kentucky for US$12,500. |
