Exciting young stallion Tale of the Cat received another boost at the
National Yearling Sale at Karaka today when one of his fillies sold for $330,000. The filly, a half sister to Group One winner Danske, is from the multiple
Oaks winner Our Tristalight.
Offered by Sir Patrick Hogan's Cambridge Stud the November
filly comes from a famous New Zealand family that includes Tudor Light and Tudor Sky.
The filly received a boost in the lead up to the sale when
her half brother Eagle Rhythm (Rhythm) was an impressive winner at Flemington earlier this
month for Leon Macdonald.
Our Tristalight won the Group One Oaks double in Adelaide -
the Australasian Oaks and SA Oaks. She had already been a Group Two winner in New Zealand
at Matamata in the Breeders' Stakes.
The filly is a half sister to Danske, a promising young son
of Danehill now at stud. On the track Danske won the New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas
(G1). |
