The first foal of the Group
One winning Danehill mare Danelagh has been sold for $300,000 during the early stages of
the second session of the Premier Yearling Sale at Karaka in New Zealand today. The yearling, a bay colt by the local champion Zabeel, was offered by Sir
Patrick Hogan's famed Cambridge Stud as lot 89.
Danelagh won four races including the Group One Blue Diamond
Stakes as a two-year-old. She is a daughter of the Cox Stakes and Perth Cup winner
Palatious.
Another yearling by Zabeel offered by Cambridge Stud entered
the ring as the following lot (90) and was sold for $180,000.
