Race 1 - PASSLOW FORD MAIDEN PLATE (1) - 1400 METRES

Near the 100 metres Be My Patriarch and Torrid Times came together due mainly to Torrid Times shifting out.

Race 2 - PEACHS TRANSPORT NOVICE (2) STEEPLECHASE - 3450 METRES

During the running of the race, Mighty Air lost its near hind plate and Basank lost its off hind plate.

M. Mills, rider of Honour Roll stated that after the gelding had made a couple of faulty jumps and was a beaten horse he pulled the gelding up near the 1000 metres. M. Mills felt Honour Roll felt normal in his action. A veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. T. Hazlett, rider of Pooky Bear was fined the sum of $200 for giving a victory salute prior to the winning post.

Race 3 - SEW EURODRIVE MAIDEN PLATE (2) - 1400 METRES

Shortly after jumping away Como shifted out, brushed Fidel and then knuckled. Running to the 800 metres Blamey got its head up when being eased off the heels of King Of Wellington which shifted in. On the home turn Como shifted out to avoid the heels of Morgs Missed Out which was weakening and took Lady Sharmi out onto Zed Express. Rounding the home turn Valley Of Kings was held up for some distance behind Morgs Missed Out which was weakening . The veterinary examination of Morgs Missed Out which weakened from the 400 metres failed to reveal any abnormality.

Race 4 - YALUMBA GALLEYWOOD HURDLE - 2950 METRES

W. Harnett, rider of Zabuan stated that the gelding got back which is his normal pattern of racing but when asked to improve from the 1000 metres was reluctant to stretch out as he would have expected. Despite hard riding Harnett added that Zabuan only really stretched out after jumping the last hurdle.

Race 5 - PRIME TELEVISION CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1000 METRES

All Speed was slow to begin. After passing the 800 metres Hollywood Hunk had to be eased when tightened for room by Rapid Woman which was taken in slightly by Cognito which had a tendency to shift in sligtly then had a tendency to shift in away from Avita which also shifted in. Near the 900 metres Zashmir got its head up and raced ungenerously when steadied off the heels of Avita. Near the 500 metres Get Down when being eased off the heels of Plush Manor shifted out and bumped Parlours on the hind quarters unbalancing that gelding. D. Oliver, rider of Evacuation stated that the gelding floundered in the going rounding the home turn and lost ground. Approaching the winning post Plush Manor when making ground had to shift out to avoid the heels of Zashmir which was shifting out under pressure.

Race 6 - CHITTICKS BAKERY WANGOOM HANDICAP - 1200 METRES

Satashi and Timely Waters were slow to begin. Near the 700 metres Marstic was hampered when tightened for room by Go Davo Go who shifted in when being steadied off the heels of Mossiton. The tightening was aggravated when Real Time improved on the outside of Mossiton and shifted in slightly.

Race 7 - CARLTON DRAUGHT MATILDA CLASSIC 3YO CLASS 6 HANDICAP - 2000 METRES

S. Baster, rider of Prosecution which performed below expectations stated that the colt over raced in the early stages of the race and hung out throughout. Baster added that Prosecution did not appear to handle the track conditions rounding the home turn but was a beaten horse at the time. Baster added that Prosecution felt normal when pulling up and a veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. A swab sample was taken from Prosecution after the race. Prosection which hung out rounding the home turn took Mollo Mollo out onto Chasseur and Malakhov at the entrance to the straight. Shortly after this Prosecution which continued to hang out had to be checked off the heels of Mollo Mollo which shifted in after being brushed on the hindquarters by Prosecution.

Race 8 - ALICE CLARK CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1400 METRES

Your Mate was slow to begin. When asked if there was any explanation for Moriarty Star performing below expectations F. Alesci stated that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages of the race but did not respond when asked to improve rounding the home turn and then weakened in the straight. F. Alesci stated the Moriarty Star felt normal on pulling up and on return to scale.

Race 9 - INDEPENDENT STALLION STATION/AQUANITA RACING F&M CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1300 METRES

Kate Walters, rider of Indecorum stated that she had difficulty in riding the gelding out in the straight as her off side rein became entangled in the mane.
