Race 1 - Super Vobis Two-Years-Old Handicap - 1000 Metres:

Jugah's Jess jumped away awkwardly.

In the early and middle stages of the event She's Snappy hung out.

Near the 100 metres Miss Audacity, which was laying in towards the heels of Luminaire, had to be eased off that filly's heels.

Race 2 - B, R and C Agents Maiden Plate - 1000 Metres:

Shortly after the start Wanna Be A Tycoon, which was racing ungenerously, had to be eased off the heels of Allo Harry.

Rounding the home turn and for some distance in the straight Miss McMahon and Triple Chance were held up when unable to obtain clear runs.

Race 3 - Swan Hill Club Super Vobis 3yo. Maiden Plate (1) - 1200 Metres:

Acting on verification from R.E.Laing's stable representative and confirmation from R.E.Laing, trainer of Contango that the colt had sustained a serious head injury subsequent to 8.00 am and was unfit to run, Stewards withdrew the colt from the event at 11.10 am. Mr Laing was advised he must produce a Veterinary Certificate in respect of the colt being unfit to start. Mr Laing was further notified he must produce a Veterinary Certificate of fitness prior to the colt starting again.

Race 4 - Swan Hill Club Super Vobis 3yo Maiden Plate (2) - 1200 Metres:

Pomonel Princess began awkwardly and lost ground.

Race 5 - Poole & Associates Maiden Plate - 1600 Metres:

Near the 1200 metres Encosta Nova had to be checked when tightened for room by Zero Control which was taken in by Teonajan, which when racing tight on the inside of Rouge Chaperon, then hung in aggravating the interference. When being checked Encosta Nova then got its head in the air and lost considerable ground.

Race 6 - St Mary's Credit Union St Pat's Cup - 1600 Metres:

In the straight L'Avenir laid out under pressure.

Race 7 - Garden & Green Class 4 Handicap - 1200 Metres:

On jumping away Trust A Dancer (NZ) began awkwardly and lost a little ground.

Race 8 - Carlton Draught Class 3 Handicap - 2100 Metres:

Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Mr S. Webb, trainer of Mooktarella, that the vehicle floating the mare to the races today had broken down on route and as they were unable to make suitable arrangements to have the mare arrive on course in time to race, the Stewards withdrew the mare at 12.59 pm.

Shortly after the start Spiritito was inconvenienced when tightened for room slightly by Makaru which shifted in.

Race 9 - Kennedy's Showcase Jewellers Class 2 Handicap - 1300 Metres:

N. Dyer, trainer of Humra, was notified that he must produce the Document of Description for the horse prior to it starting again.

In the early part of the straight Misleading had some difficulty obtaining a clear run.

FINES & EXPLANATIONS:

Race 3 - Mr J. Smerdon, trainer of Noble Scenario, was fined $30 for using wrong colours.
Race 4 - Mr G. Hicks, trainer of Tazzietoo, was fined $30 for using wrong colours.
Race 7 - Ms J. Asquith, trainer of Trust A Dancer (NZ), was fined $30 for using wrong colours.
