Race 1 - SUPER VOBIS 3YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE
(1) - 1200 metres:
On arrival at the barriers, Armordan was examined by the
Club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run.
On jumping away, Confetti Girl and Irish Kit were tightened
between Lady Crackerjack, which shifted in slightly, and Gammaray, which jumped away
awkwardly and shifted out.
In the early and middle stages of the race, Hands Full
over-raced and raced greenly.
Approaching the 400 metres, Be My Luck shifted in abruptly
towards the rail and became unbalanced.
After passing the 100 metres, Ninya and Lady Crackerjack
brushed, due to Ninya shifting out.
Approaching the winning post, Royal Jama shifted out and
brushed Miss Prosperity.
B Rawiller, rider of Armordan, stated to the Stewards that
the filly over-raced in the early stages of the race. B Rawiller further stated that
Armordan wanted to hang out rounding the home corner and in the straight, and for this
reason he was unable to ride the filly in his normal manner. R Symons, trainer of
Armordan, was notified that there will be an official warning placed against the filly,
and should Armordan perform in a similar manner in future, it may lead to some action
being taken.
Race 2 - SUPER VOBIS 3YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE
(2) - 1200 metres:
Riva Storm jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
Rounding the home corner, Ruth's Reward was held up for a
run.
After passing the 200 metres, Artemus and Lacy Lucy came
together. Shortly after this, Lacy Lucy, which was weakening, had to be eased when
tightened for room between Grey Feather and Artemus, which shifted out slightly.
Race 3 - SUPER VOBIS 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS
MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:
On arrival at the course, The Adgie was examined by the
Club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run.
Approaching the 400 metres, Flanigan, which had commenced
to weaken, had to be checked when tightened for room between Doctor Blanch, which shifted
out and away from Rustic Chance, and Arches, which was taken in by Capetown Kid, which
shifted in. The tightening was aggravated due to Arches brushing the hind-quarters of
Capetown Kid and turning that gelding in further. As a result of this incident, Arches was
also hampered. Also in this incident, The Adgie, which was following, had to be checked to
avoid the heels of Flanigan.
Rounding the home corner, General's Reward was held up for
a run.
Approaching the winning post, Sir Academy shifted out,
which resulted in Rustic Chance shifting out and away from that gelding and hampering
Capetown Kid and Dynamic Danzer.
Prior to correct weight, B Rawiller, rider of Rustic Chance
, fifth place-getter, wished to view the Steward's head-on video of the straight. On
viewing the video, he did not wish to proceed with an objection.

of J Patton as the rider of Fingah, was accepted.
The explanation of Mr Mick Winks for his late notification

After being placed in the barriers, Raise A Breeze reared
and became cast. Raise A Breeze was taken out of the barriers and examined by the Club's
veterinary surgeon, who passed the gelding fit to run.
Glace Star and Tricked both jumped away awkwardly.
Approaching the 700 metres, Liston had to be eased to avoid
the heels of Crystal Academy, which shifted in and away from Magic Precieux.
C Quilty was found guilty of a charge of careless riding,
the careless riding being that near the 1200 metres, he permitted his mount to shift in
when not sufficiently clear of Tricked, thereby taking that mare in on to Crystal Academy,
which resulted in Crystal Academy being hampered and Tricked having to be checked. C
Quilty was suspended from riding in races, the term of suspension to commence at midnight,
12 May and to expire at midnight, 30 May.
Race 7 - TOOHEYS NEW CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 2200
metres:
Approaching the 400 metres, Sunburnt Hopi had to be eased
to avoid the heels of Security Guard, which was weakening.
Mr Peter Corrigan, trainer of My Belle Amie (NZ), when
questioned regarding the improved performance of the mare, stated to the Stewards that at
Swan Hill at its previous start My Belle Amie (NZ) had difficulty in obtaining a clear run
and was shuffled back through the field. He further stated that the mare was today suited
by the fast tempo of today's racing, as My Belle Amie (NZ) is a one pace horse.

for a run, and then shifted out to obtain a run on the outside of Our Rowdee Boys. This
resulted in Dock having to be eased off the heels of Spec Of Silver (NZ).
Near the 200 metres, Ms J Darose, rider of Noah's Fortune,
dropped her whip.
Race 9 - KEITH NEWMAN RACING STABLES CLASS 2
HDP - 1200 metres:
Due to L Nolen becoming indisposed, and as there was no
other rider available at the weight, the Stewards permitted F Alesci to ride Bellybutton
one and-a-half kilos over its allotted weight.
On jumping away, Shinacova knuckled.
C Massey, rider of Shinacova, stated to the Stewards that
after the gelding had knuckled at the start he did not ride is mount in his normal manner
in the straight as in his opinion there was something amiss with the gelding's action.
Near the 600 metres, El Mozo had to be eased when tightened
between Rimba Soledad on the inside and Star And Hope, when both horses shifted ground
slightly.
Approaching the 500 metres, Shinacova was hampered when
