RACE 1 DAWSON LOKAN HURDLE
H. OSullivan was notified as
the rider of JET RACER (NZ).
OUR AGGASSI (NZ) was inspected by the
Clubs Veterinary Surgeon at the start and passed fit to race.
Approaching the obstacle near the 1400
metres ROCCECHEILLI (S. Pateman) had to be steadied off the heels of KASTABON (NZ) (G.
Young) owing to the change in pace.
RACE 2 LAKEWOOD STUD DISTANCE
MAIDEN PLATE
The start of this event was delayed
owing to SALLY ROSE having to have its near fore plate replaced at the start.
HOSTLER (M. Hoppo) jumped outwards at the
start resulting in IMPERIAL CHARTER (M. Neilson), which had jumped awkwardly, being taken
out onto TRUCE DETOILE (D. Tootell).
Subsequent to the race a veterinary and
endoscopic examination of AMBERSUN failed to reveal any abnormalities.
A veterinary inspection of SALLY ROSE
subsequent to the race revealed that mare to be lame in its off fore hoof.
RACE 3 ADELAIDE MOTORS BMW /
SABIS MAIDEN PLATE (Division 1)
M. Neilson was notified as the
rider of MARIZZIQUE owing to H. McKechnie being indisposed through illness.
PHANTASMIC (S. Price) jumped away awkwardly
and shortly after the start was inconvenienced when the filly was inclined to shift away
from MARIZZIQUE (M. Neilson), on its inside, which was inclined to lay out.
In the vicinity of the 300 metres M.
Neilson, rider of MARIZZIQUE, dropped his whip. M. Neilson was advised that future
carelessness may lead to action being taken against him.
Subsequent to this event the
Stewards reclassified the track rating to DEAD.
RACE 4 OCONNOR
HARVESTING / SABIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP
Approaching the 100 metres SO MAY
IT BE (B. Vale) was hampered when taken in by UNFEIGNED (B. Neville). B. Neville was
advised of his obligations when shifting ground.
FLEET DAPPER returned to the mounting
enclosure with an abrasion to its near hip which required first aid attention.
Subsequent to the race a veterinary
inspection if SIGNET revealed that gelding to be lame in the near fore fetlock. Mr. D.
Pannell, representing Mr. J. Hawkes, the trainer of SIGNET, was advised that a Veterinary
Certificate of Fitness to Race would be required for the gelding before it accepted for a
future race.
A veterinary inspection of SKY ACT
subsequent to the race revealed no visible abnormalities.
RACE 5 WEST END CLASS 2
HANDICAP
CLASSIC COUP (NZ) was inspected by
the Clubs Veterinary Surgeon at the start and ruled fit to race.
The start of this race was delayed owing to
WALAMA (NZ) having to receive farrier attention.
CELLAY (J. Potter), on jumping away,
shifted out onto KENTON KNIGHT (J. Maund) taking that gelding out onto SEA DAN (P. Gatt),
which was tightened and lost its position.
RACE 6 FINNISS LODGE
STRATHALBYN CUP
A swab sample was taken from
IMPERIAL CROSS, winner of the race.
Passing the Winning Post on the first
occasion, OLONGOPO (D. Yendall) was obliged to check severely and lose its position when
tightened by TAWTRICE (P. Gatt), which had been taken in by TOP KALA (B. Claridge), as a
result of that gelding having received pressure from TANAS LAD (C. Symons). C.
Symons was found guilty of a charge of Careless Riding under ARR 137(a) and after being
found guilty of the charge was suspended for a period to commence at midnight on Sunday,
16th September and to expire at midnight on 6th October 2001; a
period of three metropolitan meetings.
DEACONESS (D. Azis) was held up for a short
distance prior to the 300 metres and then was momentarily disappointed when attempting a
run between TOP KALA (B. Claridge), which was inclined to lay in, and TAWTRICE (P. Gatt).
A veterinary inspection of THE RAMPAGER
subsequent to the race revealed no visible abnormalities.
RACE 7 YALUMBA HANDICAP
A swab sample was taken from
INKAMULLA (NZ), winner of the race.
BALLATA (T. Barras) jumped away awkwardly
and inconvenienced STORA BOLLAR (W. Kerford).
In the vicinity of the 1000 metres BALLATA
(T. Barras) was obliged to steady off the heels of STAR JOE (NZ) (C. Symons), which
shifted in.
RACE 8 FIELDERS STEEL ROOFING
/ SABIS MAIDEN PLATE (Division 2)
SHORE GENIE (B. Claridge) jumped
away awkwardly and shifted out hampering CLASSIC WHITE (J. Maund).
Racing to the 900 metres DONATONI (C.
Lindop) shifted in resulting in SHORE GENIE (B. Claridge) being tightened for a short
distance.
Inside the 500 metres CLASSIC WHITE (J.
Maund) was obliged to steady off the heels of SHORE GENIE (B. Claridge), which shifted
out.
Near the 300 metres DONATONI (C. Lindop)
was inclined to lay out and brushed SCENARAJA (M. Hoppo). |
