Race 1 - Wimmera Racing Maiden Plate - 1100 metres

Near the 900 metres Record Breaker shifted in and became unbalanced. Rounding the home turn sporting fame shifted in slightly and tightened Surfie Pete in on toRecord Breaker resulting in Record Breaker then shifting in away from Surfie Pete and brushing the running rail.

Race 2 - Super Vobis Two Years Old Handicap - 1100 metres

When the gates opened Durham Richway and Star Tune were slow to begin. Shortly after the start Choppity Boo was tightened for room between Comedy of Dreams and Maranello Miss which shifted in away from Edgeton. Shortly after this incident Durham Richway, had to shift in to avoid the heels of Comedy of Dreams which resulted in Durham Richway then haven't to be eased of the heels of Miss Tuppy.

Race 3 - Yarriambiack Maiden Plate - 1600 metres

Gospel Road was slow to begin. Approaching the 600 metres Day Trader shifted in and became unbalanced. P. Saunders, rider of Muffin Mclay, which performed poorly, stated to the Stewards that after racing greenly in the early stages of the race, the mare then failed to respond to his riding after passing the 500 metres.

Race 4 - Super Vobis Three Years Old Maiden Plate - 1200 metres

Elytra Bid was slow to begin.

Race 5 - Tooheys New Class 3 Handicap - 2050 metres

During the running of the race Radiant Blast lost its off hind plate. Walsaro was slow to begin. D. Yendall, rider of Weary, fifth place getter was reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.

Race 6 - Y-Fest At Easter Class 2 Handicap - 1100 metres

Approaching the 800 metres Mythical Bid had to be checked off the heels of Luskelei. Rounding the home turn Mythical Bid was held up and unable to obtain a clear run. Approaching the 200 metres Mythical Bid was held up for a run short distant between Luskelei and Beadman where there was insufficient room.

Race 7 - Autumn Open Handicap - 1600 metres

After the majority of the field was loaded into the gates, the stalls then opened prematurely resulting in the starter declaring a false start, a number of horses cantered for a short distance before been returned to the barrier. All horses were then examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon and declared fit to run.

Race 8 - Nissan Country Class 1 Handicap - 1600 metres

Mr Rock jumped away awkwardly resulting in P. Boase becoming unbalanced and the gelding losing considerable ground.

FINES AND EXPLANATIONS -

Stewards today adjourned an inquiry into the reason for W. Bones failing to obey a proper direction given by them with regard to drug and alcohol testing today.

Stewards today took routine urine samples from Jockey W Bones and apprentice M Munday for drug and alcohol testing.
