N SPICE were declared off; bets on other runners were not affected.
Subsequently, Mr. R. Modra, trainer of GINGA N SPICE was fined the sum of $200

could lead to it being banned for a period.
AWAY WITH FAIRIES (J. Bowditch) and GINGER
RAJA (P. Gatt) were both slow to begin.
Stewards questioned Mr. S. Padman, trainer
of AWAY WITH FAIRIES, and that mares rider, J. Bowditch, regarding its poor
performance today. J. Bowditch reported to Stewards that AWAY WITH FAIRIES had been
extremely agitated prior to the start and was difficult to load. He further stated that on
jumping away the mare had shown a tendency to over-race and he had formed the opinion that
AWAY WITH FAIRIES may have trained off. This opinion was shared by Mr. S. Padman, who
reported to Stewards that AWAY WITH FAIRIES would now be sent for an immediate spell.
