Race 1 -Carlton Draught Handicap 1000metres

"On Again" brushed the near side stall on jumping away and as a result Lincoln Coffey its rider lost use of his near side iron, placing Lincoln Coffey at a considerable disadvantage before he regained the iron approaching the 700 metres.

After passing the 600 metres "On Again" and "Dignatious" bumped.

On the home turn "On Again" which was racing greenly, shifted ground brushing the hindquarters of "Dignatious" when that colt shifted in slightly resulting in "On Again" becoming unbalanced and having to be checked.

Race 2 -Moonee O'Valley Night March 2 Handicap 1000metres

Shortly after the start, "Fading" shifted out and hampered "Costa Grande".

Near the 400 metres "Costa Grande" and "Fading" came together. Just prior to straightening "Geiger Force" which was weakening was tightened for room by "Canchita" which when improving obtained a narrow run between "Geiger Force" and "Fading" which shifted in abruptly away from "Costa Grande" after being bumped again by that filly.

On the home turn "Tennessee Madness" shifted in and brushed the running rail.

Race 3 - Moonee Valley City FestivalHandicap 2500 metres

"Golden Arches" and "Staff Party" were slow to begin.

At the winning post the first time, "King Zoffany" threw its head up and shifted out when being checked off the heels of Lucifer's Dream.

Race 4 - MV Tabaret Handicap 1200 metres

Linda Meech, rider of "Prince Barytes" was severely reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift in approaching and passing the 1000 metres when not sufficiently clear of "Sir Spur" resulting in that gelding being taken in off its course and then having to be checked off the heels of "Prince Barytes". "Sundiata" which was racing on the inside of "Sir Spur" was hampered.

At the entrance to the straight, "Panorama Heights" which was held up for a run was inconvenienced when tightened for room between "Liberty Lad" and "Melody Prince" which shifted in slightly.

Race 5 - Bill Lawry Business Network Lunch Feb 20 Handicap 1200 metres

Shortly after the start "Ares" was hampered when tightened for room by "Martella" which shifted in from "Calling O'Reilly".

Rounding the home turn "Mit and Mot" was held up when unable to obtain a clear run then shifted out abruptly to obtain a run and hung in over the concluding stages.

Running to the 800 metres "Mit and Mot" was hampered when tightened for room between "Roman Arch" and "Ares" which when over racing shifted out.

Near the 500 metres "Ares" shifted in and brushed "Calling O'Reilly" on the hindquarters, "Calling O'Reilly" then shifted out and hampered "Ares" and "Roman Arch" which was racing on the outside.

Noel Callow, rider of "Roman Arch" which performed poorly stated the colt was caught wide throughtout and after being inconvenienced on the home turn failed to respond to his riding. A Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Vincent Caddy, rider of "Uncle Willy" was severely reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in in the straight when not sufficiently clear of "Numilla" which had obtained a narrow run on the inside of "Uncle Willy". "Numilla" was then tightened on to "Martella" and both those horses were hampered.

Race 6 -MV All Greys Trophy 1533 metres

James Winks, rider of "Hawaii Jig", fifth placegetter was fined the sum of $200 for weighing in 1 kilogram over his declared weight.

In the middle stages of the race "Tezza Raami" threw its head in the air and raced ungenerously when being restrained.

A veterinary examination of "A Regal Dane" which performed below expectations failed to reveal any abnormality.

On the home turn "Regal Ricochet" was hampered when tightened for room between "Mulwalla" and "Hawaii Jig" which shifted out.

Race 7 - Club Cozmo Handicap 1200 metres

A veterinary examination of "Something Funny" which performed poorly revealed the mare ws sore in front. Robert Smerdon, trainer of "Something Funny" will be notified that prior to "Something Funny" racing again, he must produce a veterinary clearance.

On the home turn "Devonshire" was hampered by "Duchess Kachia" which shifted out, Damien Oliver rider of "Duchess Kachia" was reprimanded and notified to exercise far more care in future.

Luke Currie, rider of "Rich Ruby Red" was charged with careless riding in that he permitted his mount to shift in on the home turn when not sufficiently clear of "Ponentina" thereby taking that mare in onto "Ebony Beauty" which had to be checked.

As Luke Currie wished to call Mr Brian Cox, trainer of "Rich Ruby Red" and Brendan Fenech who had ridden the mare previously, the inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

"No Feelings" which was following "Ebony Beauty" and was making ground had to be checked off "Ebony Beauty" before straightening.

FINES

Race 6 - James Winks, rider of "Hawaii Jig", fifth placegetter was fined the sum of $200 for weighing in 1 kilogram over his declared weight.
