HANDICAP. 1600 Metres.
Prior to correct weight being declared, R. Booth, rider of
"Bay Demus", third place-getter, requested to view the Stewards' patrol video
rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight with a view to lodging an
objection. After viewing the film, R. Booth lodged an objection against "Ningbo
Warrior (USA)" being declared the second place-getter on the grounds of alleged
interference rounding the home turn. After hearing the evidence from all parties concerned
and after viewing the official videos, Stewards dismissed the objection. It was
established that rounding the home turn, "Bay Demus" which shifted out slightly,
had to be eased when tightened for room by "Ningbo Warrior (USA)" which shifted
in slightly.
For some distance after passing the 600 metres,

Mathrick to exercise far more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
