begin.
Stewards questioned S Brown, trainer/jockey
of MONSOONS which performed poorly. S Brown stated that he expected the gelding to perform
well today and that he could offer no explanation for its poor performance. The
Clubs Veterinary surgeon inspected MONSOONS subsequent to the event and reported
that he could find no abnormality with the gelding other than its heart rate was lower
than he would have expected. A swab sample was taken from MONSOONS.
G Clarke inadvertently appeared in the
racebook as the rider of EIRE SUPPLY when in fact L Schmidt was the rider.
