On return to scale G Browder, rider of
BURNT PEAT notified Stewards that he believed he was denied a fair start.
After taking evidence the Stewards believed
that BURNT PEAT attempted to rear as the gates were opening and the barrier attendant who
was holding the fillies bridle released the bridle when BURNT PEAT attempted to jump away.
BURNT PEAT was deemed not to have been denied a fair start and therefore a runner.
When the gates opened MY MATE BLUEY jumped
