MOOKSTAR (J. Marks) was slow into stride.

RACING SUPPORTERS DISTANCE CLASS 2 HANDICAP:
JAZORSKY (B. Grimston) and MARNIELLE (T.
Barras) jumped away awkwardly and brushed together.
RACE 3 BAKER YOUNG
STOCKBROKERS/SABIS 2YO GREAT NORTHERN CUP:
Subsequent to the event a Veterinary
examination of PACO, which had sustained a laceration to the head, revealed the gelding
was fit to take its place in the field.
Upon jumping away PACO (J. Burgess) shifted
in, making contact with RHYTHMIC STEP (Ms. M. Henderson), who in turn shifted in, making
contact with ON THE STEEL (B. Grimston).
DANCE FOR KATE (J. OConnor) jumped
away awkwardly.
In the vicinity of the 400 metres RHYTHMIC
STEP (Ms. M. Henderson) and DANCE FOR KATE (J. OConnor) bumped together and both
horses became unbalanced. Shortly after RHYTHMIC STEP was tightened for galloping room
when DANCE FOR KATE shifted in. As a result, Ms. M. Henderson, rider of RHYTHMIC STEP, was
obliged to steady across the heels of DANCE FOR KATE. J. OConnor was advised of his
obligations when shifting ground.
RACE 4 BUNDABERG RUM CLASS 1
HANDICAP (1st Division):
Stewards questioned Apprentice T. Barras
into the reason for him being doubly declared on QUICK AND LIVELY and LAVINTI in this
event. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by T. Barras. K. Louca was engaged to
ride LAVINTI.
WE DARE (J. Burgess) was slow to begin,
missing the start approximately three lengths.
In the vicinity of the 600 metres R. Faehr,
rider of SAUNTERING, elected to ease the gelding when racing tight inside of QUICK AND
LIVELY (T. Barras).
In the vicinity of the 300 metres CLASSIC
DANZIG (A. Stead) rolled in under pressure, resulting in QUICK AND LIVELY (T. Barras)
being tightened and having to be eased.
RACE 5 PRICES BAKERY
CLASS 1 HANDICAP (2nd Division):
Correct Weight was delayed to allow B.
Grimston, rider of WYNDAM WARRIOR 2nd Placegetter, to view the official head-on
video in the straight over the concluding stages of the race. After doing so B. Grimston
declined to proceed with lodging an objection and Correct Weight was duly notified.
Upon jumping away JOBBOS ISLE (J.
OConnor), which jumped away awkwardly, was taken out marginally by PARIS LACE (K.
Louca), resulting in JOBBOS ISLE being tightened onto the hindquarters of WYNDAM
WARRIOR (B. Grimston) and as a result lost considerable ground.
Racing inside the 200 metres MISS BALHANNAH
(T. Barras) shifted out under riding, resulting in WYNDAM WARRIOR (B. Grimston), in the
vicinity of the 100 metres, electing to change course and race inside the heels of MISS
BALHANNAH. T. Barras was advised of his obligations when shifting ground. B. Grimston was
advised of his obligations in riding his mounts out to the post.
A Veterinary examination of MISS BALHANNAH,
subsequent to the event, revealed the mare had swelling to its off hind leg.
RACE 6 GAWLER COLOURWORLD
CLASS 3 HANDICAP:
Racing to the 600 metres THE KALICI KID (J.
Burgess) and CENTRAL VIC (B. Grimston) brushed together on a number of occasions.
Racing inside the 500 metres KENSARM (K.
Louca) shifted in slightly, resulting in KILLISTAFFORD (Ms. M. Henderson) having to be
steadied.
ILLUSTRIOUS RULER (A. Stead) was held up
for a clear run for a short distance approaching the home turn.
In the vicinity of the 300 metres KENSARM
(K. Louca) shifted out slightly, resulting in RAMEN (J. Marks), which had commenced to
weaken, having to be steadied from the heels of BOUFFANT (T. Barras).
RACE 7 JUPITER GAMING
SERVICES/SABIS MAIDEN PLATE:
MOLLY DOLLY, which was fractious in the
gates prior to the start, was subject to a Veterinary examination which revealed the filly
was fit to take its place in the field.
Murray Henderson was the declared rider of
POWER TO WIN and not Maree Henderson as shown in the race book.
MOLLY DOLLY (T. Barras) jumped away
awkwardly.
Shortly after the start WIRINGI (J.
OConnor) and INGURAIN (R. Faehr) bumped together.
Racing inside the 200 metres J.
OConnor, rider of WIRINGI, dropped his off-side rein for a short distance, placing
that rider at a disadvantage.
Subsequent to the event a Veterinary
examination of CHIQUITA SUNRISE revealed the mare had a laceration to its near hind leg,
which required treatment.
A Veterinary inspection of MOLLY DOLLY,
subsequent to the event, revealed no visible abnormalities.
