Andrew Findlay, rider of "Chowpie", had
difficulty riding the gelding out in the straight due to it hanging in.
Approaching the winning post "Wonder Worker"

"Civics".

Approaching the winning post "Perfect Crime",

G. Eades, rider of "Careyes", stated that the
colt hung in throughout the race and due to this he was held up for a run for some
distance in the early part of the straight behind "Tuscanos", which resulted in
him being unable to ride the colt out in his normal manner.
When asked if there was any explanation for "Golden
Fawn" performing below expectations, S. Arnold, rider of the colt, stated that
"Golden Fawn" missed the start, and was then inconvenienced shortly thereafter.
S. Arnold added that "Golden Fawn" did not travel at any stage of the race, and

Acting on a report from the Starter regarding the unruly
