Race 1 - Hayden Real Estate Super Vobis 3YO Maiden Plate 1200 Metres

S. Arnold, rider of Magic Motive, when asked if he could offer any explanation for the colt performing below expectations, stated that Magic Motive travelled well until put under pressure on the home turn, and when put under pressure the colt's action became uncoordinated. Steven Arnold added that from that point onwards, the colt weakened quickly. A veterinary examination of Magic Motive following the race, failed to reveal any abnormality.

On the home turn, Molly Ellen(NZ) had to be checked off the heels of Magic Motive which had commenced to weaken.

Race 2 - Eclipse Ford Super Vobis 2YO Maiden Plate 1400 Metres

During the running of the race Arctic Circle suffered a bleeding attack.

Near the 1000 metres, Not So Trite was tightened for room between Walk The Valkyries and Dendane (Noel Callow) which shifted in. Noel Callow was notified to exercise more care in future, when shifting ground.

Link Robertson, rider of Not So Trite, which performed below expectations, stated that he was tightened for room near the 1000 metres, and was again hampered near the 800 metres, by Sanguinity, which was pulling hard and shifting ground. From then onwards the gelding was a beaten horse, and other than being inconvenienced early and mid race, could offer no explanation for the gelding's poor performance. A veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormality. Mr S. Zahra, stable foreman for M. Ellerton trainer of the gelding, gave an undertaking that, if there was anything detected subsequent to the race that may have affected the gelding's performance today, he would notify the Stewards.

Approaching the winning post, Revita was tightened for room between Super Scope and Arctic Circle when both shifted ground slightly. As a result, Chevignon, which was following had to be checked off the heels of Revita.

Race 3 -Gerard Cosgrave Real Estate Class 1 Hcp 1600 Metres

Throughout the event, Belle Stone (NZ) hung out, and rounding the home turn, shifted out and hampered Johnny Say Sorry.

Race 4 - Golf House Hotel 3YO & Up Maiden Plate 1400 Metres

No report.

Race 5 - Frank J. Frawley Memorial Hcp 2200 Metres

During the running of the race, Lesvos Ruler lost a near fore plate.

Race 6 - T. B. White & Sons F/M Class 2 Hcp 1400 Metres

In the straight Devil Doll layed out under pressure.

Race 7 - Harvey Norman Ballarat Class 4 Hcp 1100 Metres

P. Cannon, stable foreman for R Smerdon, trainer of Sweet City Sioux was notified that the Document of Description must be produced for the mare prior to her starting again.

On jumping away My Kirana shifted in and brushed Chiaretto resulting in Miss. M. Payne, rider of My Kirana losing the use of her near side stirrup iron for a short distance, and almost being dislodged.

Shortly after the start Phinrow shifted out abruptly and bumped Let's Went (NZ), out across the running of Ming's Finale resulting in that horse having to be checked. Heartbreak Hotel then shifted out away from Let's Went (NZ) and bumped Myalanta onto the hindquarters of Achieved.

Race 8 - Emcees Catering C,G & E Class 2 Hcp 1400 Metres

Near the 1000 metres Liven Up had to be checked when tightened for room by Another Trick which initially was taken in by Mythical Bid before shifting in away from that colt which was hanging in. Mythical Bid then continued to hang in and tightened Another Trick. Miss M.Keegan trainer of Mythical Bid was notified that a warning was being placed on the colt for hanging in today.

Near the 100 metres Liven Up was hampered when tightened for room between Mythical Bid & Name Dropper which both shifted ground.
