*L.Nolen was severely reprimanded for having accepted a ride for which he was unable to fulfil due to being overweight.

Race 1 Moama Bowling Club F & M Maiden Plate - 1400m

Tempting Beauty jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 1300 metres Kokomo Miss had to be eased off the heels of Just Precious (NZ) (L. Dowson), which shifted in. L., Dowson was notified he must be clear of other runners before shifting ground in future.

In the early part of the straight Kokomo Miss had to be eased when disappointed for a run between Just Precious (NZ) and Midnight Nova, which shifted in. Kokomo Miss was then held up for a run until passing the 200 metres, where the filly was again eased to avoid the heels of Salvite, which shifted in.

Race 2 - No Fuss Events SV 2YO Maiden Plate - 1400m

Prior to correct weight B. White rider of Ruby Draw, 4th placegetter requested to view the Stewards patrol video with regard to lodging an objection. After viewing the video B. White lodged an objection against Mummify being declared 3rd placegetter on the grounds of alleged interference near the 800 metres, rounding the home turn and again over the last 100 metres. After hearing evidence from all parties concerned and viewing the Stewards patrol videos, Stewards dismissed the objection. It was established that approaching the 700 metres Ruby Draw was inconvenienced due to Mummify shifting out to obtain a run on the outside of Sure Red. After passing the 600 metres Ruby Draw and Mummify were inconvenienced due to Sure Red being taken out by Tuppeny Opera. In the straight Ruby Draw, which had a tendency to lay in under pressure, shifted in towards Mummify and as a result B. White rider of the filly was struck on the arm by the whip of G. Eades rider of Mummify.

Flash Lane was slow to begin.

On the home turn Sure Red, which was weakening, had to be checked when tightened for room between Mummify and Tuppeny Opera (L. Dowson), which initially shifted out before being taken out slightly by Snap To It. L. Dowson will be reprimanded and notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Race 3 - Bendigo Bearings SV 3YO Maiden Plate - 1600m

After passing the 200 metres Darsawye was hampered when tightened for room between It's Simple and Zed Express, which hung in under pressure.

Over the concluding stages Runyonese shifted in and inconvenienced Brief Conflict on two occasions.

Race 4 - Eagelhawk Motor Radiator Service Class 2 Handicap - 1300m

On the way to the barriers Miss M. Payne rider of Gothic Lord was dislodged. Gothic Lord then cantered to the barriers riderless. The gelding was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight King's God had difficulty in obtaining a clear run.

Passing the 200 metres Miss Iridium shifted in away from Gothic Lord and brushed King's God. Shortly after this Miss Iridium was severely hampered when tightened for room between King's God, which shifted out slightly and Gothic Lord, which shifted in away from Pindarri Gold.

Race 5 - McCaig Air-Conditioning Class 6 Handicap - 1100m

River Junction knuckled on jumping away then shifted in and hampered Black Magic and Harms Way.

Race 6 - Castlemaine Small Goods Class 2 Handicap - 1000m

Rounding the home turn and in the straight Longwood Star hung out.

Miss M. Payne rider of Cobber stated to the Stewards that the gelding travelled well until rounding the home turn, where from that point the gelding's action deteriorated and she believed there may have been something amiss with it. Miss Payne added that for this reason she eased her mount down in the straight. A Veterinary examination of Cobber revealed no abnormalities.

Race 7 - Bendigo Party Hire F & M Class 3 Handicap - 1500m

Shortly after the start Fearless Sophie, Lustrum and Miss Megari were tightened for room between Young Scarlet, which shifted out slightly and Lunar Streak, which shifted in.

Race 8 - Worksafe Victoria Class 1 Handicap - 1600m

On arrival at the course Bangerang Bonnie was examined by the Club's Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.

Approaching the 1400 metres Royal Maestro had to be eased when tightened for room by Infernal, which initially shifted in and Gliding Home, which then shifted out.

Near the 600 metres Infernal had to be checked off the heels of Gliding Home. Shortly after this Gliding Home, which had a tendency to lay in, shifted in away from Rockaway and as a result hampered Bangerang Bonnie.

Approaching the 400 metres Bangerang Bonnie had to be checked when tightened for room between Gliding Home, which continued to lay in and Doritilla, which shifted out.

Near the 200 metres L. Coffey rider of Bastille Rule, accidentally dropped his whip.

SWAB SAMPLES

Swab samples were taken from the following winners - Salvite (Race 1), Fifeshire (Race 4), Vegas Charm (Race 6), Young Scarlet (Race 7), Doritilla (Race 8).

FINES

Mr. Cliff Brown trainer of Flash Lane (Race 2) was fined $50 for his late notification of R. Bradley as the rider of the filly.
