Race 1 - O'Sullivans Transport SV 2YO Maiden Plate

When the gates opened Sweet Corn was hampered when
tightened for room between Shockforce and Sierra Madre, which was taken in by Atin.
In the early and middle stages of the race Sweet Corn raced
greenly.
Near the 500 metres and again near the 400 metres Majestic
Radiance, which was over-racing, had to be checked off the heels of Juggle.
Near the 100 metres Luminaire had to be eased when
tightened for room between Juggle and Ancient Valley, which was taken in slightly by
Sierra Madre.
Race 2 - Matthew Davis Australia C,G & E
Maiden Plate - 1400m
Acting on a report from the Starter regarding the unruly
behavior of Heywood when being loaded into the stalls, Stewards notified Mr. M. Poloni
part owner, trainer of the gelding, that they were placing a warning against Heywood and
should the gelding perform again in a similar manner, action may be taken against it. Mr.
Poloni was further notified he must be in receipt of a Barrier Test Certificate for the
gelding before racing again.
Shortly after the start Lilantrace had to be eased when
tightened for room between Peepers and Lawskin, which was taken in slightly by
Retaliation, which in turn was taken in by Killatilla (J. Keating), which shifted in. J.
Keating was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
Near the 1100 metres Peepers had to be eased off the heels
of Lawskin. As a consequence Aggravate, which was following Peepers, had to be eased to
avoid the heels of that gelding.
Approaching the 800 metres Paper Counter, which had been
racing to the inside of Lawskin, began to falter and then fell. Educated Shot (NZ) and
Heywood, which were following, were hampered in consequence.
Race 3 - Elmore Newsagency F & M Maiden Plate
- 1400m
Passing the 900 metres Oakwood Miss had to eased off the
heels of Adieu.
Approaching the 600 metres Oakwood Miss, which was laying
out slightly, had to be checked off the heels of Adieu.
Race 4 - Tooheys New F & M Class 1 Handicap -
1600m
When the gates opened Bread Maker was slow to begin.
Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the
straight Miss Kashani (NZ) was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.
Race 5 - Milnes Elmore Cup - 1600m

Near the 800 metres Frelita brushed the running rail.
Near the 200 metres Storm Attack experienced some
difficulty in obtaining a clear run.
Near the 100 metres Nobody had to be eased off the heels of
Stalking Moon.
